Welcome to the Amateur Radio Website of NB8I.

Hello and welcome!

My name is Mark Baker and I live in Parma, Ohio, USA  which is a suburb of Cleveland. I am licensed by the FCC as an amateur extra class radio operator and I am learning new things every day in the area of RF and electronics.

I am active phone on the HF bands and love working DX. I like phone on all HF bands and try to work CW as much as I can. I’m still pretty inexperienced but Aoril 1st 2013 I’ll start for a two month crash course with CWOPS Academy to see if I can get my skills up!

I earned my first WAS phone award in March of 2013 and am closing in on my DXCC award!

The new station I began in 2012 is now competed and you can see the end product under the “Photos” link above. It was a true labor of love!

I currently have a video channel on you tube at: www.youtube.com/nb8i for you to that documents this adventure of ham radio.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be posting more as my station grows.
